Come and stay in the Auberge du Chalezan, our beautiful traditional chalet in the heart of the French Alps in the village of Les Contamines, the closest village to Mont Blanc, where we will tailor-make your perfect adventure holiday

WINTER

During the winter months we offer a range of outdoor snow sports from:
-Skiing the sunny pistes of Les Contamines.. (a total of 450km of runs!) We offer private lessons for all levels.
-Ski touring, either day outings into the calm of the hills, with a great ski down to reward you for the effort of the climb! or the world famous trip from Chamonix to Zermatt, 7 days of ski touring across the Alps into Switzerland. staying in mountain huts, and reaching altitudes of 4000 metres..
-Skiing down the Domes de Miage, leaving from our back door, work your way through the forests and up a Glacier, sleep in a mountain refuge and be rewarded the next day with a 3,000 metre + ski down through untouched snow..
-Ice climbing, there are many local spots from just learning to pretty technical.
Obviously winter ascents are possible, conditions permitting.. Be the only one on the summit of Mont Blanc..
We can completely tailor-make your trip so you enjoy it to the full, push yourself as much as YOU want to be pushed and great things can be achieved, be it finally cracking the art of turning in powder or scaling untouched summits through perfect snow....

SUMMER

The summer is the most beautiful time in the Alps, whether you are after warm sun on your face and crampons on your feet, paragliding through the hills or swimming in glacier lakes..
and there are more walks than can be completed in a lifetime here.
Les Contamines is the starting point for the amazing Tour de Mont Blanc, an incredible walk passing through three countries, which takes around 7 days, sleeping in mountain huts. As for high altitude climbing, Mont Blanc is on our doorstep and in an hour you are in Switzerland where you can tick off the Matterhorn and as many of the 4,000 metre peaks as you like.
